DIGITAL TV: Analogue TV signals began to be turned off in Oxfordshire as the digital switch-over got underway on Wednesday.
The switch-over began in the early hours when analogue BBC2 was turned off for good by the Oxford transmitter group.
Digital UK regional manager Peter Monteith said: “Those viewers who haven’t switched to digital should prepare for September 28, when the last analogue channels will be permanently switched off. Our advice is get ready now – don’t leave it until the last minute.”
Homes already watching Freeview will need to retune their TVs and boxes to regain BBC services. Some people are eligible for a national help scheme. Details are available on 0800 4085900.
