Pedestrian left with serious head injuries

A 48-YEAR-OLD man has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving after a pedestrian in Blisworth was left with serious head injuries.

At around 1.30am on Sunday, October 16, a 37-year-old man from Blisworth was walking along Station Road when he was struck by a silver Renault Traffic van.

It is believed the van driver was negotiating a small crest in the road when he collided with pedestrian on the other side of the road.

The driver, from Leeds, was uninjured and arrested on suspicion of drink driving, taken to Weston Favell police station and later released on police bail pending further enquiries.
