Using a special inflatable ramp the rescuers entered the water to calm and then retrieve the stricken animal.

Crews from Bucks Fire & Rescue Service were called to the incident at Tingewick Road, Radclive, near Buckingham Golf Club at 7.35pm on Wednesday, May 12.

Fire engines from Buckingham and Kidlington and a fire officer attended.
