Thunderstorms including lightning strikes to hit Bucks from this afternoon

The Met office has issued 'Yellow' weather warnings for today and tomorrow which could see thunderstorms affecting parts of Buckinghamshire.

The warning says that flooding, lightning strikes, hail or strong winds may cause damage to homes and businesses.

The volatile weather is likely to hit South Buckinghamshire this afternoon (25 June) and the rest of the county from midday tomorrow (26 June) according to the latest forecast.

Bucks Fire and Rescue Service tweeted: "The Met Office has issued thunderstorm warnings which could affect parts of the south of Buckinghamshire tomorrow (Thursday 25 June) from 4pm until 9am on Friday, and all of Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes from 12 noon on Friday to 6am on Saturday"
