Police hunt after prisoner goes on the run
A clean-shaven prisoner with a scar on the left side of his head has sparked a police hunt after walking out of an open prison.
Scott Lawson, 28, from Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, left HMP Springhill in Grendon Underwood last night (Thursday, October 8).
Lawson is white, 6ft, large build and has black short hair.
It is unknown what he was wearing at the time he absconded.
He has links to East Northamptonshire.
Investigating officer, Sgt Jim Forrest, from Aylesbury Local CID, said: “I would advise members of the public not to approach him if they see him but to instead call 101 as soon as possible.
“Please contact us if you have any information as to Lawson’s whereabouts or see anyone matching his description.”
