The University of Buckingham is hosting a live online hustings event on Sunday, for the upcoming Buckinghamshire Council elections.

Buckingham has two wards being contested in the election - Buckingham East and Buckingham West - with a total of 23 candidates to choose from.

Between them, the candidates represent four political parties - Conservative, Labour, Liberal Democrat and Green - plus Independent candidates.

Every person voting in the election can vote for up to three candidates.

With so much choice, how can you find out what each candidate stands for and decide who to vote for?

Step in the University of Buckingham, where Dean Jones has organised the virtual hustings event via Teams on Sunday, May 2.

The Buckingham East Ward Hustings takes place at 4.30pm and the Buckingham West Ward Hustings at 7pm. A recording will be made available on YouTube.

The event is being hosted and chaired by the University of Buckingham via Microsoft Teams.

Each party has been invited to answer four pre-submitted questions (two minutes per question per party) and each candidate is invited to speak for two minutes about why they are standing.

Then each party is invited to answer two live questions (two minutes per question per party).
