GENERATIONS of former Tingewick Pre-school pupils met old and new friends at a 40th anniversary reunion on Friday, October 7.
A party was held in Tingewick Village Hall to celebrate the milestone, with face painting, balloon modelling and temporary tattoos available for young guests. A special cake was also baked, and there were displays of photographs and children’s work.
Supervisor Claire Groves, who has worked at the pre-school for 10 years, was there to greet guests as they arrived.
Pre-school committee chairman Poppy Clare said the reunion was very well attended.
She added: “Everyone was pleased to see us in our own purpose-built pre-school.
“A lot of the people in their teens we had known as pre-schoolers, and it was amazing to see children you knew on a daily basis grow up to be young adults.
“It was very touching and quite satisfying.”
