Public vote for winning poster

The public has voted and the winner of a children’s poster competition has been announced.

Over the summer, the League of Friends of Buckingham Hospital ran a competition for schoolchildren to design a poster to highlight the presence of Buckingham Hospital in the community.

The challenge was eagerly taken up by Buckingham Primary School, with strong encouragement from deputy headteacher Sam Brewer.

About 200 posters were submitted, from which five finalists were selected by a committee.

These were then put on display in Buckingham Library for the local community to vote for the winner.

Prizes of £10 Amazon vouchers were offered to the finalists and the overall winner, Eleanor Douglas, received a Kindle Paperwhite eReader.

The prizes were presented by League if Friends chairman, John Wrigley, at a school assembly.

The winning posters will be displayed around the local area and also on the Buckingham Hospital League of Friends website at www.lfbh.org.uk.
