Buckingham girl Chase Howie was remembered when a 14-strong team from Redrow homes took part in the Colour Obstacle Rush in Milton Keynes.
Chase, from Buckingham, was just 18 when she passed away at Helen & Douglas House last July, surrounded by family, friends and even her pet dog, following a two-year battle with cancer.
Diagnosed at the age of 16 with alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma, Chase spent her final 11 days at the hospice.
Chase’s mum, Mandy, who is Redrow’s marketing co-ordinator, roped in colleagues from the developer’s Northampton office to take part in the fundraising challenge in aid of Helen & Douglas House.
Chase’s brother Morgan, aged 12, and her aunt, Nikki Gibson, also took part, and the team has so far raised £2,507.
Mandy said: “The hospice was such a massive help to us as a family that we wanted to give something back to help them continue to support others.
“They say the money we’ve raised so far would pay for a care team member for three and a half weeks.
“Chase would be proud that we’d taken part and raised so much money.
“We’re already thinking of taking part next year and entering an even bigger team.”
