A Buckingham gift shop is undergoing a transformation and will officially reopen on Monday, October 1.

Formerly Poppies, on Market Square, the store has had a complete refurbishment and change of colour scheme, and reopens with the new name of FlutterBuys.

Customers making a purchase from October 1 to 6 will receive a free gift and the chance to be entered in a prize draw.

Owner Jacky Dale-Evans took over the shop six months ago and has done a gradual stock change where needed.

After being closed for business while the decorators were in, the shop is now ready to spread its wings again.

Maids Moreton mum-of-two Mrs Dale-Evans said: “Everything that was old has been ripped out and replaced with new. It’s had a total refurb. But there will still be the same happy, smiley staff.”

She has kept popular lines including Jellycat plush toys, Willowtree ornaments and Terramundi money pots.

New lines include Melissa And Doug children’s wooden toys, Amelia Art Glass and Eggnogg paper tablecloths for children to colour in.
