POLICE are hunting a man in his 20s after a teenager was left shaken by a sexual assault in Buckingham on Saturday evening.

The appeal for information was issued after an 18-year-old woman was grabbed as she turned into Page Hill, after walking along Stratford Road.

When she screamed the man ran off. He is described as white, in his 20s and was wearing casual clothes. A police spokesman said he may have been bare-chested in he lead up to the attack.

Investigating officer, Det Sgt Nick Hind, said: “Although the woman wasn’t hurt, this was a distressing incident and we are keen to find whoever is responsible.

“We believe that the man might have followed the woman for a while before he grabbed her and so there is a good chance someone might have seen him.

“I would like to appeal to anyone who recognises this man, or has any information to help with our enquiries, to contact us.”

Anyone with information about his assault should contact police on 101. If you don’t want to speak to police and don’t want to leave your name contact the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111
