A Singing For The Brain group that launched in Buckingham last month got off to a great start with 25 people attending.
The group, which is designed for local people with dementia and their carers, was launched at Buckingham Community Centre, as part of Dementia Awareness Week.
Singing For The Brain uses singing to bring people together in a friendly and stimulating social environment, allowing them to express themselves and socialise with others in a fun and supportive group.
The Alzheimers’ Society, which runs the group received a cheque for £2,000 from Buckinghamshire Community Foundation to set up the service.
The new group will take place twice a month. Call 01296 331722 for details.
