Brackley was full of Christmas cheer as the Christmas Market took over the town hall and piazza on Saturday.
Stalls selling arts, crafts, gifts and gadgets and entertainment were on offer for the whole family including Santa’s grotto and special appearances from Peppa Pig and Fireman Sam.
Southfield School choir and Brackley Performing Arts provided entertainment before Francesca Long sang her song Hero of Mine, for the Help for Heroes charity.
Organiser David Dingvean said: “The Christmas market went really well, and we are happy with the results of our preparations and the large footfall there.
“We had varying crowds throughout the day, and there were times where it quietened down during the afternoon but it picked up at about 4.30pm when we had the Starlight Dance Academy performing – there were around 100 dancers in car park area.”
All donations and profits received and raised at the Christmas Market will be donated to the Warwickshire and Northants Air Ambulance. The final total is yet to be announced.
Mr Dingvean is keen to invite people to join the organising committee to help improve the market for future years.
