Tesco in Towcester has lent a helping hand to the town’s Vision Youth Café.
Not only did the store provide a DIY task force for its interior refurbishments, it also made a donation and provided fresh fruit for the kitchen.
Staff from the store on Old Tiffield Road went down to the café to help update and rejuvenate it and present the team there with a cheque for £500.
Based at the Youth and Community Centre on Islington Road, The Vision Youth Café has been providing services to the Towcester community for nine years, offering a range of activities for the young people in the area.
Tesco store manager Colin McMahon said: “We wanted to celebrate our recent in-store revamp by helping the Vision Youth Café with their own refurbishments.
“We decided to make the £500 donation as a thank you for their hard work in the Towcester community.
“We really appreciate the services they provide for the young people in the area.”
Vision Youth Café spokesman Georgina said: “We’d like to thank Tesco for coming down today and helping us with our DIY project and for their generous donation.
“The money will help us to run activities for young people in the Towcester community.”
