Sixth-formers went to the aid of an injured cyclist yesterday, Thursday.

South Central Ambulance Service was called at 8.15am to a report of a road traffic collision involving a car and a bicycle on London Road, Buckingham, outside the Buckingham School.

A teenage boy, believed to be a student at Silverstone UTC, was treated at the scene then taken to Milton Keynes Hospital with minor injuries to his head and mouth.

A Buckingham School spokesman said: “Our sixth-formers were amazing and looked after him till the police and ambulance arrived. We’re very proud of them.”
