Several businesses in Bicester celebrated success at the Cherwell Business Awards at Oxford University Begbroke Science Park on May 20.
Among the winners was British Bakels Ltd, in Bicester, which was presented with the Cherwell Business of the Year award, sponsored by Norbar Torque Tools, and the Established Business Award, sponsored by Spratt Endicott Solicitors.
Greg Woodhead, of British Bakels, said: “Winning these awards are an acknowledgement of the hard work and commitment of the whole Bakels team over the past few years to build a forward-facing and growing company which is a responsible and valued member of the community.”
Other Bicester winners were, Nicholsons Nurseries, in North Aston (Employer of the Year), Andy’s Barber Shop (Retail Award), Simon Biltcliffe, of Webmart Ltd (Business Person of the Year), Burgess Reclamation, in Souldern (Micro Business of the Year) and High Spec Composites, in Caversfield (Apprenticeship Award).
All the finalists are automatically entered into the Oxfordshire Business Awards on June 17.
