Buckingham’s Radcliffe Centre was full to the rafters last Saturday night for an evening of music and magic that raised £1,375 for a local children’s club.

Based at Buckingham Parish Church, the Kit Cat Club provides a hot meal, games and crafts once a week in the school holidays for children who are entitled to free school meals.

Since it opened last August, demand has grown, from five families to 24.

Local singers Swan Harmony and three talented musicians from Stowe School – Finlay Sutherland, Lewis Bell and Clarissa Llanai – were joined on the night by professional pianist Gibson Russell and internationally known oboe player Alison Alty, who played at the 2011 Royal wedding.
