A CAR hit a lampost and bought down cabling before hitting a bridge during a crash in Blisworth this week.

Just before 5pm on Tuesday, June 14 a silver Vauxhall Omega estate travelling to Blisworth from Milton Malsor collided with the street lampost.

A police spokesman said: “The collision brought down cabling and the vehicle finally came to rest having further been in collision with a railway bridge wall.”

The 19-year-old driver from Northampton sustained head injuries and was taken to hospital by air ambulance.

Witnesses should call the Drivewatch Hotline on 0800 174615.
