An acclaimed stage adaptation of Dr Seuss’s The Cat In The Hat is kick starting its first UK tour at the Waterside Theatre in Aylesbury at the end of this month.

Based on the much loved book, the show promises to provide a lively and engaging first theatre experience for young children aged from three upwards.

So it’s a perfect opportunity to introduce little ones to the magic of a theatr show.

Adapted by Katie Mitchell, the story is centred around the most mischievous cat Sally and her brother have ever met.

And from the moment he appears around the door in his tall, red and white striped hat they know he is the funniest cat.

But what will their mum find when she gets home?

The new production coming to the Waterside was first presented in a sold out run at the 2014 Edinburgh Fringe Festival, before transferring to the Pleasance Theatre in London for a Christmas season.

The 2015 tour will visit 30 venues across the UK, as well as playing a short run in Bahrain in January.

This new production is directed by Lillie Collier, designed by David Shields and produced by Paul Taylor-Mills Ltd. It runs from Thursday January 29 through to Saturday 31.

The Thursday performance is at 1pm, Friday performances are at 11am and 1pm.

Saturday performances are at 11am, 1pm and 3pm.

Tickets cost £10 and £12 (£11.90 and £13.90 including fee when booked online or over the phone).
