DESPITE moving from its normal slot in late June and the threat of torrential rain, the Brackley Community Parade and Carnival went with out a hitch last weekend.
As the jewel the crown of Brackley events organisers of the town’s Jubilee celebrations thought is would be a good way to bring people together.
Once again town residents lined High Street watching for people they knew in the procession from the Old Sawmills site.
Walking groups included marching bands, schools and sports clubs, sponsors and the Emergency services. After Mayor Chris Cartmell opened the carnival the crowds were entertained by the Knights of the North equine display team, the Paws for Thought dog team and the Savage Skills bike team.
