The team which carried out the redevelopment of Swan Pool and Leisure Centre in Buckingham has won an award for the work.
Swan Pool and Leisure Centre’s redevelopment was a joint undertaking between Aylesbury Vale District Council and Balfour Beatty, who were assisted by centre operators, Everyone Active.
The team has received a bronze award in the Considerate Constructors Scheme (CCS) National Site Awards.
The award recognises the team’s exceptional performance, adherence to high standards and effective levels of co-operation with the local community throughout the project.
AVDC project manager Paul Marston-Weston said: “To receive a bronze award in the renowned CCS scheme is an accolade of which the entire project team can be extremely proud.”
Michael Schenk, Balfour Beatty construction manager, said: “This well-deserved award is a testament to the team-spirit and hard work of everyone involved in this successful project.”
Cllr Angela Macpherson, AVDC Cabinet member for leisure, communities and civic amenities, added: “Well done to all the members of the team, whose success in winning this award is thoroughly warranted.”
