Crowds gathered around the Old Gaol in Buckingham to see the town light up for Christmas.
The annual switch on of the festive lights, which have been updated this year, was once again a colourful event for the whole family on Saturday evening.
Mayor Cllr Andy Mahi flicked the magic switch to turn on the lights, helped by the MK Dons mascots Donnie and Mooey.
Crowds enjoyed a carol service around the Christmas tree outside the Old Gaol with performances and music by the Buckingham Glee Choir and The Winslow Concert Band.
Buckingham’s Artisan Market opened up in the Cattle Pens with stalls selling gifts, hot food and drinks.
As well as improved lights, funded through the town rates, this year’s event had a stage area, reserved space for the less able and a hearing loop. The Christmas tree was provided by Aylesbury Vale District Council.
