New market day shopper service from Buckingham's community bus
'Bart' will be operating from next week
Bart the bus has been taking an enforced rest during the lockdown.
But now the coronavirus restrictions are lifting, Buckingham’s community bus is ready for business again.
The minibus, which arrived in Buckingham last autumn, is available to enable people living in the local villages and Buckingham's estates to do their shopping or visit the post office or library in the town centre.
From Tuesday, April 20, Bart will be operating a Buckingham market day shopper service to Buckingham town centre, Tesco and Lidl or the library, picking up from Maids Moreton, Western Avenue, Moreton Road, Page Hill, Linden Village, Badgers, Lace Hill, Mount Pleasant and Tingewick Road.
Booking is essential due to limited seating to keep the minibus Covid secure, with pre-payment or contactless payment available. Tickets £3 return, supported by Buckinghamshire Council.
Exact pick-up times will confirmed the day before, picking up from the end of your street, or even your door if possible.
The minibus is also available for hire for half or full days by community groups, charities and families. Full details are posted on the Bart Facebook page or by emailing [email protected]
