Thames Valley Police is renewing its appeal for witnesses to a fatal collision on the A41 on Wednesday night (1/6).

At about 10.05pm, a black Honda Jazz and a black Sky Jet motorcycle collided on the A41 from Bicester to Aylesbury, near to the Piddington turning.

The motorcyclist, believed to be 17-year-old Stephen Hemsley from Calvert Green, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Jazz was not injured.

PC Dave Mitchell, from the Road Death Investigation Unit, said: “Enquiries into the cause of the collision remain ongoing and I am investigating the possibility that the motorbike might not have had its lights on when it was involved in the collision.

“I am keen to speak to anyone who witnessed this collision, but I’m particularly keen to speak to anyone travelling along the A41 who noticed a motorbike travelling with no lights.”

Anyone with any information should contact PC Dave Mitchell via the 24-hour Police Enquiry Centre on 08458 505505. If you don’t want to speak to police or leave your name, call the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
