Serious injuries after driver is thrown from car

SERIOUS INJURIES: A man was thrown from his car just before it caught fire during an accident on the A43 near Towcester this week.

At around 8.40pm on Monday, December 19, a green Ford Focus was heading south on the A43 when it left the road near to the Showsley junction.

A spokesman for Northants Police said the car overturned and caught fire and added: “The driver, a 34-year-old man from Nottinghamshire, was ejected from the vehicle and was later taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford with serious injuries.”
