VILLAGES around the southern end of the A43 are being warned to expect disruption during three weeks of road works.
Highways Agency contractors began the work between the M40 and the A421 Barley Mow roundabout this week and it is expected to last until Sunday, December 11. The work will require overnight closures of the A43 in both directions between 8pm and 6am and diversions through Farthinghoe and Croughton will be in place. The work includes resurfacing, the renewal of road markings and cats’ eyes, and improvement of road signs.
A spokesman for Aone+ said the work was essential for road safety and added: “Every effort will be made to minimise disruption to road users and residents near the location, but there will inevitably be some inconvenience generated by these works and for that we apologise in advance.”
