Inside the Winslow Community Bus

Winslow Community Bus is back on the road, following the relaxation of the coronavirus restrictions.

The Wednesday Winslow Market Service is already up and running, and from April 16 the Friday and Saturday Aylesbury Market Service will also be operating.

Due to government restrictions, and the need to keep passengers and drivers safe, strict guidelines are in place. To comply with current 1m+ social distancing, some seats have been removed and the bus can only carry six passengers at any one time.

As it is impossible to use the tail lift while maintaining a socially safe distance, passengers need to be able to board the bus unaided using the main door.

The volunteers who run Winslow Community Bus are providing this limited service on the strict understanding that passengers travel entirely at their own risk.

Places on the bus must be pre-booked and paid for by calling the bus co-ordinator on 07483 336440. Cash will not be accepted on the bus.

Face coverings must be worn while boarding and travelling on the bus and hand sanitiser (supplied) must be used before boarding and when leaving your seat to exit the bus (sanitiser supplied on the bus).

Passengers are not to travel on the bus if they or any member of their household are displaying any signs of the Covid-19 virus.

The aim is to restart all scheduled routes over the coming months, but excursions and hires remain suspended for the foreseeable future.
