UPDATE: Missing man found

UPDATE: Norman Burbridge who went missing from his home in Northampton last night has been found safe in the Swan Valley area of the town.

PREVIOUS STORY: Police are growing increasingly concerned for a 79-year-old man from Northampton who went missing overnight and could in the south Northants area.

Mr Burbridge went missing from his home in Quernstone Lane in the Briars Hill area of Northampton sometime between 11pm last night and 9pm today, Friday September 13.

A police spokesman said he is likely to be confused and is known to walk long distances, often out of Northampton and into the countryside.

He also has connections with Whittlebury, Kislingbury and Brixworth.

He is described as 5ft 10in, slim with long grey hair, curly at the back, balding at the front.

Mr Burbridge is likely to be wearing a petty officer’s blazer from the Royal Navy, which has a number of naval badges on it.

Anyone who thinks they may have seen Mr Burbridge is asked to call Northamptonshire Police on 101 or 999 in an emergency.
