Tickets are now on sale for the Buckingham Choral Society’s spring concert.
On Saturday, March 28, the choir will be performing another varied programme of choral music at 8pm in Buckingham Parish Church.
The choral society will be singing works such as Dvorak’s lyrical and pastoral Mass in D and John Rutter’s joyful Gloria and uplifting Te Deum.
The concert will also feature young talented soloists from the Royal Academy of Music, members of the Orchestra of Stowe Opera, and organist David Gibbs.
Choral society chairman Marillyn Stewart said: “These pieces don’t require a large orchestra but we will be supported by musicians.
“We have 75 to 80 members and have one or two younger singers including two university students.”
With the money raised from their spring performance, the choral society want to put on more evenings.
Mrs Stewart added: “We are a registered charity and use the money raised to help continue our performances with the help of orchestras.
“We hope a lot of people from the area attend and I am definitely looking forward to the performance.”
Tickets £13 in advance, under-18s £5, from the Old Gaol and The Duke’s Music, on Market Hill.
