Buckingham Choral Society’s next concert, at 8pm on Saturday, December 7, in Buckingham Parish Church, features a varied programme of choral and orchestral music.
The choir will perform Schubert’s charming Mass in G and Haydn’s happy and beautiful Maria Theresa Mass with soloists from the Royal Academy of Music.
The highlight of the concert will be the highly acclaimed piano soloist and the society’s former répétiteur, Craig Greene, performing Mozart’s well-known Piano Concerto no 21 in C major, ‘Elvira Madigan’, with the excellent Orchestra of Stowe Opera.
Tickets cost £15, (£13 concessions and £5 under-18s) from the Tourist Information Centre in the Old Gaol, online at www.wegottickets.com and from choir members.
The friendly community choir welcomes new members, particularly tenors and basses.
