Ms Adams, who worked at Hampden Veterinary Hospital in Aylesbury, was driving from Whitchurch to Winslow in her Hyundai Getz at around 1.15pm on Wednesday.

She was close to the junction with Dunton Road on the A413 when her car hit a Ford Transit van travelling in the opposite direction. She died at the scene.

The driver of the van, a woman aged in her forties, was taken to Milton Keynes General Hospital with minor injuries and was later discharged.

The road was closed while officers investigated the circumstances of the crash and it reopened at 5.30pm.

Investigating officer PC Aaron Fricker said: “I would like to speak to anyone who saw the collision or saw the vehicles travelling prior to the collision who may have information which could assist the investigation.”

Ms Adams was based at the Watermead branch of the veterinary hospital, caring for small animals. She joined in 2014 having qualified as a vet a year earlier.
