LOVERS of handmade and vintage items should head to Winslow on Sunday for the town’s latest Handmade and Vintage Fair.
Two previous fairs this year have been resounding successes, bringing enthusiasts flocking to the town.
And this time sees the return of popular 40s-style close-harmony trio The Sasparillas to entertain the crowds. Last time they performed there, impromptu outbreaks of jiving were seen in the market square.
Organised by the town’s Chamber of Trade, the fair takes place on the market square from 11am to 3pm, and local shops and cafes will also be open.
> Community organisations in Winslow are now invited to apply for the community stall at Winslow’s Farmers’ Market next year.
The farmers’ market takes place on the first Sunday of every month, and each time a Winslow organisation is allocated the free stall to promote its activities or raise funds. Anyone interested should contact town clerk Bridget Bradford on 01296 712448 or firstname.lastname@example.org
> The farmers’ market is also opening bookings for singers or musicians to provide free live music each month. It gives them a showcase and they can sell their CDs or hand out business cards.
