The search is on for the town’s best-dressed shop window.
Residents are being asked to vote for their favourite Christmas window display and the winner will be the shop getting the most votes.
The shop owner will win a bottle of champagne – and everyone voting in the contest will be put into a prize draw to win a hamper worth £100 from Waitrose Buckingham.
The competition is being run by traders’ association Shop Buckingham, which aims to promote local retail businesses.
Buckingham has an array of independent shops selling produce and gifts that cannot be found in supermarkets or nearby Milton Keynes.
Elliot Wallis from Shop Buckingham said: “It is so important to shop local.
“Every pound spent in town recirculates 70 per cent more money back into the local community than an out-of-centre store. You can find unique and unusual shops in Buckingham but also shop for the everyday.”
To vote for your favourite shop window, just fill in the coupon in this week’s Advertiser and pop it into Gyre and Gimble coffee shop, on Market Hill, by Monday, December 15.
The winners will be announced in the Advertiser.
