At this time of year many clubs, societies and groups see their numbers reduce as members leave to study at university for a few years.
Towcester Studio Band is one such group, and a concert is being held at St Lawrence Church in Towcester tonight (Friday) from 7.30 - 9.30pm to send four youngsters on their way.
Nicola Stevens, who has been on the band committee for a couple of years and took over as secretary is heading to Aston University in Birmingham to study Optometry.
Tom Stoneman, also on the band committtee, is going to Birmingham Conservatoire to study music.
Rebecca Maclean will study Psychology at Lincoln, and David Foulger will be at Keele studying Creative Music Technology.
All four have selected a piece of music which Towcester Studio Band will perform at the concert.
Everyone is welcome to attend the concert this evening to celebrate the time the youngsters have spent with the band, and to send them good wishes on their journey into higher education.
Tickets cost £7 and are available on the door and include tea, coffee and biscuits.
