EVERYONE in Winslow is invited to attend the official opening of the town’s new family games area on Saturday, March 31.
The Jubilee Games Area, near Winslow Youth Centre has been in use for a month now and is proving incredibly popular.
And Winslow Town Council is holding a short ceremony to open it formally from noon to 2pm on March 31.
It will be opened by Mayor of Winslow Llew Monger, helped by a number of young people from the town, in the presence of invited visitors.
The games area, which is free for everyone in the town to use, will be open for use on the day, and the town council hopes it will continue to be well used.
It has been built using grant funding from WREN and LEADER, with the balance coming from developer contribution as a result of the Piccadilly development, and a donation from the county councillor’s fund.
