Delve into county archives and explore unique documents, journals and newspaper cuttings from more than 800 years ago.
The Northamptonshire Archives and Heritage Service holds thousands of rare artefacts and families are being invited to explore them.
It also has police records dating back to 1840, diaries from soldiers who served in the First World War and burial registers from 1847.
Explore Your Archive campaign events are taking place at venues across the region, including at Towcester library on November 13 from 9am to 1pm.
André González de Savage, county council cabinet member for strategic infrastructure, economic growth and public protection, said there is a ‘wealth’ of information.
He said: “The Explore Your Archive campaign is a fantastic opportunity for people to discover the thousands of documents we have stored. Whether you’re interested in fashion, sport, food or even UFOs, there is sure to be something to inspire you within our archive.”
