VILLAGE residents had a narrow escape after a muck heap caught fire in Potterspury.

Just before 1pm on Monday, May 23 fire crews from Towcester and Bletchley were called Furtho Lane and used hose pipes to protect surrounding properties..

Resident Alan Dimmock said: “It was just stables on the edge of the village, but the wind was going in the opposite direction so there was no problems in the village.”
