Wrestling comes to Brackley Leisure Centre

Brackley is getting ready to rumble on Saturday.

For one night only, the stars of Grandslam Wrestling will take over the Brackley Leisure Centre for a night of all-action American wrestling.

The main sports hall will be transformed into a wrestling arena to capture the live atmosphere, with wrestlers from all over the world taking on the best of Great Britain.

This is a new wrestling venue and if it goes well, it could become a permanent feature in Brackley.

Towcester wrestler Danny Driscol will be making a special appearance when he takes on 6ft 7in, 22-stone USA muscle machine Bison Brodie.

Mr Driscol said he is excited to be wrestling in front of his home town and hopes to make a good impression to friends and family.

Another favourite will be TV star Little Legs.

Standing at just 3ft 6in, she can be seen over the next six weeks on the E4 programme My Little Princess.

Other top stars due to appeare are the larger-than-life 27-stone Big Dogg, Mexican sensation Magico and, making his first UK appearence after returning from a very successful year wrestling with the WWE, the fantastic Stevie Starr.

The event, which starts at 7.30pm, will be raising money for the Beat Bullying charity. Doors open at 7pm.
