The Brackley-based Threebond with T-Sport duo, Will Buller and Spike Goddard, endured a tough time at Brands Hatch last weekend in the latest three rounds of the Formula 3 European Championship, write Colin and James Beckett.
The meeting was dominated by the Italian Premapower Team, who scooped wins in all three races with drivers Alex Lynn, championship leader Raffaele Marciello and Lucas Auer.
Buller’s best results from his trio of events at the Kent circuit were two ninth place finishes in races one and two. The Ulsterman was unable to score points in his third outing, finishing 12th in his Nissan-powered Dallara car.
Spike Goddard recorded three finishes from his outings, with 15th his best return in the opening encounter of the weekend.
He said: “It was a difficult weekend for me but I managed to complete all three races and drive many laps.
“The Brands Hatch Indy Circuit is pretty short and so our races were over 50-laps each which is very tiring and requires lots of concentration.”
The championship continues at the Red Bull Ring in Austria next weekend. Buller will arrive placed 11th in the standings for the Threebond with T-Sport team.
