Buckingham Town 1st XI finished pre-season with a competitive four-wicket win against Chesham.
Buckingham won the toss and chose to bowl with Jason Ell taking a wicket in the third over.
Goddard (42) and Rance steadied the innings, taking the score to 50, before Wayne Platts removed Rance and Matthew Thatcher claimed three wickets to dismiss the rest of the top order as the hosts slipped to 95-5.
Turner and Clifford added 39 before two wickets for James Gear (2-26) and one for Ell (2-20) and a couple of run outs saw the final five wickets fall for 18 runs as Chesham were bowled out for 152.
In reply, Shane Williams got on top of the bowling, scoring 30 from 28 balls including three sixes before the Chesham spinners took four wickets for 27 runs.
Platts (35 not out) joined Thatcher (52 not out) at the crease with the score 87-6 and they put on a fine partnership to earn Buckingham a win in the final over.
Buckingham play Banbury Town this weekend in the first match of the 2013 Cherwell season.
