GOLF: Buckingham Golf Club members have raised over £15,000 for the PACE charity to help youngsters suffering from cerebral palsy.

A cheque for the sum was handed over by last year’s captain, Bruce Parker, to charity representative Amanda Richardson at a presentation in the clubhouse.

PACE was Mr Parker’s golf club charity in 2010.

The money, which was collected over the last year, included nearly £6,000 which was raised by club professional Greg Hannah on a sponsored cycle ride from John O’Groats to Lands End.

The 887-mile trip took Greg nine days to complete last summer.
