> Buckingham 3rds beat Milton Keynes 48-12.

This weekend’s Winter Warmers league game saw second-placed Buckingham 3rds take on Milton Keynes 3rds, who are third in the league.

The game got off to a flying start and within five minutes two tries were run in by the backs Robinson and Bull. The Milton Keynes larger pack struggled to keep up with the pace of the younger and fitter Buckingham team.

The Buckingham team dominated play throughout the game, with more tries from Bull, Smith, Bassett (2,) Cook and captain Martin Dunford scoring the last on the day. Conversions were scored by Reader (3) and Norman.

Milton Keynes played with great commitment but struggled to overcome the dominant Buckingham team.

This win for Buckingham 3rds has guaranteed them second place in the Winter Warmers Merit league.

The 3rds travel to Brackley this Saturday for their final league game. This will finish a fantastic season for the team and prospects for next season look very good.
