The dates for three of British motorsport’s premier events have been confirmed by Goodwood for the 2015 season.
All three of Goodwood’s events will see a vast array of Advertiser & Review region racers on-track, with many driving priceless racing cars either on the Goodwood Motor Circuit or at the Goodwood House hillclimb.
The Goodwood season will start with the Members’ Meeting on March 21-22, before the focus switches to the now legendary Festival of Speed. The FoS will take place between June 26-28, with many leading F1 drivers and teams joining the garden party event.
The Revival will take place in September, with three days of action scheduled for the 11-13.
James Wood, a regular at all three events, says: “Goodwood offers pure motor racing for the enthusiast and the competitors are handed a unique opportunity to drive at three superb events.
“The Members’ Meeting back in March certainly captured the true Goodwood spirit and racing was every bit as good as the Revival.”
Marc Gene added:, “Goodwood is a great event. I have been lucky to drive a Ferrari at the Festival of Speed many times and also race a Jaguar E-Type at the Revival.
“Everyone enters into the Goodwood spirit and I very much hope my schedule allows me to be back for the Festival of Speed, and the Revival, next season.”
Local historic racer Gary Pearson has won more races at the Revival than any other person. He added to his tally in September at the wheel of a Jaguar D-Type.
He was also seen on-track in a Maserati 250F raced in period to Grand Prix victory by Juan Manuel Fangio.
Pearson will be back at Goodwood during 2015, as will Ben Eastick who made his Revival debut in September at the wheel of his Jaguar D-Type.
