Ardley United recorded their seventh successive win this week when they hammered Milton United 4-0 in the Hellenic Premier Division.
The visitors enjoyed total domination with Milton forced to play much of the game penned inside their own half as striker Ricky Johnson caused problems all afternoon.
Johnson twice went close in the first 20 minutes before the deadlock was broken on the half-hour mark when Jon Gardner broke down the left wing and launched a deep cross, which was headed back across goal by Johnson for Luke Ingram nod home.
That was to be Ingram’s last meaningful contribution as he was forced off with injury, but the change made little difference as Gardner headed in Conor Ingram’s cross for a 2-0 half-time lead.
Just two minutes into the second half, United increased their lead further through Johnson and victory was complete 10 minutes later when Gardner rifled home a 25-yard free-kick.
Ardley remain seventh ahead of this weekend’s cup tie at North Leigh Reserves.
