Saints boss Jon Brady has urged his players to ignore the media attention surrounding the club and focus on this Saturday’s FA Trophy tie with Leek Town at St James Park.
Brady is keen to focus on one game at a time ahead of a manic three days for the club that will see Brackley host Leek before entertaining Gillingham in the FA Cup, which will be shown live on BT Sport.
Ahead of the third qualifying round tie with Leek, Brady said: “The media attention is positive for the club but we need to focus on one game at a time. The FA Trophy is a very important competition for us.
“We had Leek watched on Tuesday and they scored two high quality goals.
“They’re top of their league, so they’re doing well and they’ll provide tough opposition.”
Brackley will be without first choice goalkeeper, Billy Turley, for the tie as he serves the first of his two-game suspension.
Leek, who play in the Evo-Stik NPL Division One South, made it through to this stage by beating Witton Albion 2-1 on Tuesday evening.
