Great Horwood looking to expand

The 2012/13 season was the most successful season in Great Horwood FC’s history – and the club are now looking for new players to expand and build on that success.

The first team performed superbly in their first ever year in the North Bucks Premier Division to finish fourth, while the reserves topped the table for large parts of the season before finishing fourth.

The veterans also enjoyed a successful season, but they are in need of more players for next year. Anyone 35 or older can get involved.

Meanwhile, the junior section has also thrived in the past year. The U11s were the first junior team to reach a cup final played at the MK Dons stadium and the U11 girls narrowly lost in the cup semis, while the U9s and U8s continued to impress.

All teams are now in need of more local players for the future, including the U18s, U17s, U16s, U15s, U14s, U13s, U12 boys and girls, U11s, U10s, U9s, U8s, U7s and U6s. The U16s also need a new coach.
