youth football:

Witney Vikings 2

Brackley Town Juniors 3

Brackley Town U10s Juniors travelled to Witney Vikings looking to get there first back to back wins of the season, after their 2-1 win over Tower Hill Stars last week.

Town started well and took the lead after a good move from Ben Purnell and Captain Tom O’Neill played in Fabian Norris who slotted home to make it 1-0 to Town.

Town kept battling and could have made 2-0 on several occasions with Harry Gee, Charlie Jones, Tom O’Neill and Ben Purnell all denied by Top saves from the Witney Keeper.

Town’s keeper Mathew Paul was forced to deny the Vikings’ striker as he broke free just before the break and it stayed 1-0 at the break.

After the break, Town started slowly and were punished after not clearing the ball, Witney drew level and then they made it 2-1 to the hosts. This seemed to spur Town on and they drew level when Jimi Feather slotted past the keeper to draw level. In the last five minutes, Town stole the points when Jack Rockell fed Oliver Franklin who whipped in a pin point cross to Jimi Feather who tapped home to give Town the points. Man of the match was Fabian Norris.
