Kingston states desire to leave

BUCKINGHAM Town manager Daniel Kingston is on the verge of leaving the club.

He said: “When Vince asked me to step in as Caretaker Manager a couple of months ago I had to give it a lot of thought, I knew my family would not be keen and that the club was in a bad state but against my better judgement I took it on because I wanted to help.

“Never in my wildest dreams did I ever envisage the sort of things I would be accused of and blamed for on the forums.

“Even whilst I’m digesting the news that Drew Mitten has left the club I am being blamed and accused for all sorts, this club has turned into a snake pit and it is every man for himself.

“Certain players are asking me to pay them out of my own pocket and threatening to leave.

“I don’t want to leave the club in trouble but I don’t think I can take any more.

“I really hope someone can sort Buckingham Town out because it would be a massive shame to lose such an old club but I’m clearly not the man for the job.”
