Mursley United sailed into the second round of the Berks and Bucks Intermediate Cup with a 5-0 victory over Comet MK.

Mursley were unable to break down the resolute Comet defence in a frustrating first period as they dominated possession.

Into the second half, Mursley continued to press with Castagnetti trying to unlock the defence and the two full backs, Charlie Attwell and Kevin Goodluck getting forward.

Eventually, the home side opened the scoring with 15 minutes remaining as Comet’s defence buckled under the constant pressure and Mitchell Young broke clear and slid home.

That opened the floodgates as Young added his second and then completed his hat-trick, with Lewis Wheeler also scoring twice.
