A 4-0 win over Burton Park Wanderers saw Buckingham Town record back-to-back wins for the first time this season.
Bottom of the table Burton started the game well and attacked Buckingham but the hosts looked comfortable despite a goalless opening half.
The second half was a different story as the Robins took total control with Ben Shepherd rifling a left-footed shot into the roof of the net following a mazy run.
Moments later, a Burton defender unfortunately hooked a shot into his own goal before Shepherd smacked in his second from 25 yards.
A scissor kick from Nick Bines rounded off the scoring. Manager Daniel Kingston said on the club website afterwards: “Well done to all the lads, we were down to the bare bones again but they turned in a good performance.
“We host Oadby Town next week, they are in the top two and strongly fancied for promotion, I don’t think it will end 0-0 so will be worth a look.
“With 26 goals, we are the highest scoring team outside the top six but with the against column showing 46 we’ve also conceded more than anyone.”
